Vocational Pathways Mathematics is a highly practical course tailored for students pursuing a hands-on, real-world approach to numeracy. It builds essential skills for employment, apprenticeships, and everyday life.

Students will learn to:

· Apply mathematics in workplace, trade, and community settings.

· Manage financial literacy, including budgeting, wages, and simple interest.

· Measure and interpret data in contexts like construction, retail, and hospitality.

· Use mathematics to solve problems in areas such as time management, volume and area calculations, and risk assessment.

Students will use calculators and digital tools relevant to workplace numeracy practices.

 

Selection advice

Students should have basic numeracy skills and prefer practical, hands-on learning approaches to mathematics.
